Cousin Island, Seychelles Cousin Island is a small granitic island southwest of Praslin located off the coast of Africa in the Indian Ocean. What was once stripped from its native vegetation, Cousin Island is now a nature reserve since 1968. And since then, the island accommodates over 250,000 bird nests every year. The Seychelles Warbler has grown in large numbers on the island saving the species from extinction. |
